Step-by-step guide

You can arrange the transfer of your domain in a number of simple steps. You can enter your domain name here and order it with the package you need If you do not yet know which package you need, you can also look here first .

After ordering you will receive a confirmation of your order by e-mail, and an explanation of the next steps.

Cancel with your current provider

Inform your current provider that you want to move the domain name away and apply the AUTH / EPP code (for most other extensions). With this TOKEN or AUTH / EPP code you start the move at CodeOrange

Note: never cancel the domain name with the current provider! Then other parties can also hijack the domain name.

When you want it, it happens.

Then we will move your domain when you start this. Most customers want to have their website and email set up correctly before moving the domain name. That is why you can start the move yourself via a link (this link is in the e-mail with the subject "Can the move start for <your domain>").

Duration of relocation of other domain names

For the most used extensions such as .com / .net / .org, a permission email is sent to the owner or the administrative contact of the domain name (e-mail comes from the WHOIS). After that approval, it can take about five business days for an agreement to be made, depending on the domain registration company with which your current hosting provider is doing business. If you agree, it will take between 24 and 48 hours before your website is found on the new server (computer). Unfortunately, this delay has to do with the operation of the internet and it can not be faster (see below). For visitors it does not really matter because they can continue to view the website during the relocation period via the old or new server. If the website is put on the new server, the visitor does not notice it.

Will I remain the owner of my domain names if I transfer them to you?

A domain that is moved to us only changes from registration provider. You will indeed remain the owner of your domain.

Are there costs related to a move?

No, there are no extra costs involved.

Can I finish a move faster?

The administrative act usually can not be done faster, but via DNS you can technically refer the domain to your new hosting package with us. Contact us if you are in a hurry.
