WordFence is an excellent plugin that can point you to common issues in WordPress, such as Plugins that are no longer up to date, or malware that has been uploaded to your site. However, the default settings are not very practical, because your e-mailbox is overwhelmed with reports of unsuccessful loging attempts. These are so common that we recommend that these notifications be turned off. You can do this in the following way after logging in to your wp-admin / panel.
Tip: Are you worried about the login attempts? Make sure that you do not use a standard username (such as admin, or the name of your website) and use a strong password, because those login attempts are virtually harmless. That is comparable to a good lock on your front door. Both WordFence and us block IP addresses that try to log in too often.
